The Hop Grenade’s Brewery of the Year Bracket Challenge is back! Each new year The Hop Grenade team chooses their favorite 16 breweries from the previous year (2025). Then, in a March Madness® style bracket challenge, you get to decide who the best brewery of the year was!

Each weekend, beginning Jan. 31st, we’ll put our brewery favorites on tap and you’ll vote for your favorite, choosing who goes on to the next round. The first weekend will see all 16 of our favorites on tap. You’ll choose your favorite eight, and send eight packing.
We’ll keep doing this until we are down to our final two breweries, who will face off in a showdown during SF Beer Week on Sunday, March 1st.

This weekend is week two - the Elite 8 breweries that are left after week one voting. They are:
